The Eden Project Sleepout to end Youth Homelessness
Well it's been quite a journey over the past few weeks - Cornwall - you have been amazing in your response to the various calls we have had regarding the issue of homelessness.
Joining 125 other people at Eden - we experienced the Sleepout - and it's really not pleasant.
If you'd like to listen to the evening show, plus the following day's Breakfast Show - it's in the podcast below.
And we'd really like to thank The Eden Project, the Amber Foundation, St Petroc's Society, plus everyone who came along and shared their stories, who took part, or who donated money to help Cornwall and the South-West's homeless.

Neil and Tina are sleeping out at The Eden Project to raise awareness and funds to End Youth Homelessness. They are being joined by 125 like-minded individuals with all sorts going on through the evening.
Tina: "We are taking over the Pirate FM Evening Show to bring you the highlights of the #Sleepout, then sleeping out on our cardboard mats before bringing you the Breakfast Show - in the hope that we can just sample what life on the streets might be like - hey we know we've got it easy with food, and live music, plus access to toilets, but we also know just how the plight of the homeless has touched the hearts of Cornwall and we want to do our bit".
You can still help too, by text donation to support St Petroc’s Society and the Amber Foundation by donating directly to them via the website links or by texting COLD02 and the amount you would like to donate (eg £5) to 70070.
We are looking forward to an evening of entertainment, including live music from local band Clay and food workshops with Tony Trenerry, head chef at Eden, and Sanjay Kumar, head chef at the Headland Hotel, Newquay and founder of School of Cornish Sardines.
There will also be campfire tales, and food, hot drinks and a licensed bar on offer, before we all bed down for the night outside beside the Biomes.
Showcasing Matt Woods
Plus we'll be bringing you some acoustic music from Matt Woods, local musician and former Truro Cathedral chorister making the big time. You can hear the full interview with Tina and Holly Day here, where Matt performs 'Impression' live:
and watch Matt's EXCLUSIVE performance for Pirate FM of 'In the Dark' in this video.
Thank you for your support.

Christmas is coming and we all have a secret Elf Name.
Work out yours:
Have a great Elf Day...
And can you help the Pengegon Scout Hut?
We paid a visit to the 1st Camborne (Roskear) Scouts and their hut is in need of some serious work so the whole community can use it.
If you can help in anyway, then please contact Andrew Davenport via email email@example.com or call 01209 617369.

If you've been following the story, of the homeless couple and their three dogs, sleeping in a car since April, then the generosity of listeners will blow you away as to what has since happened.
This is the couple:
Here's the amazing Mel, who tells us how volunteers helped clear the garage room to make it into a warm dry space for them
This is Kev who spear-headed the clear out with Ben from Dash Drive who kindly loaned the Luton van, and collected a double bed from listener Sharon and Megan
Since then, the homeless couple have been supported by St Petroc's who have sorted out finances to support a more permanent housing solution, plus Coastline Housing and the help of the local MP.
We are delighted so many people have gone out of their way to help - and that's why we are taking part in the Eden Project Sleepout on 19 November. If you are coming - we look forward to seeing you there - and if you'd like to help, please donate via texting giving for the Amber Foundation and St Petroc's Society who help homelessness - together let's end Youth Homelessness
