Class 3 have been learning all about sound and hearing this term.
SoTina popped along to meet Miss Eva, and all the children and they had a lesson on Sound. Wearing blindfolds and playing with different types of balls, the children learned about mono and stereo sounds, and why the same thing sounds different. we even did a spot of dancing and found out what 'earworms' are!

This week with Neil & Tina I went along to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth to chat to the Managing Director and have a sneak speak behind the scenes where they feed the fish.
Listen to the full interview at the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth below. We were about 10 feet away from one of the most feared creatures in the ocean, the shark.
Dr David Gibson allowed us to get up close and personal with some of the fish in the tank allowing us to feed them and get an insight into the way their minds work.

A College Lecturer from Mevagissey is celebrating, after scooping a cool £1,000 on a popular radio competition.
Tate Richardson was picked at random to play Pirate FM's "£1,000 Minute", where he was challenged to answer 10 general knowledge questions in 60 seconds.
After breezing through the answers in record time, Tate was then given the option to double his money - all he had to do was answer one more to claim £2,000.
However, he decided to stick with his new-found wealth - walking away with a well-earned grand.
Speaking afterwards, Tate said: "It feels incredible - great privilege to be the first winner of 2014"
"I'm looking forward to a couple of stressful free months - my wife is certainly delighted also!"

Where is Lydia?
Scientists have been tracking Lydia, a Great White Shark and she is currently closer to Cornwall than the United States. The current therory is she may be pregnant and looking for a nursing station.
Why are we all so scared?
On this morning's show, Neil and tina reveleaed their fears, sparked from the Jaws film they saw as kids.
Heather from Berealston revealed that she had once been bitten by a shark - but it had been her fault for leaving her foot dangling in the water of feeding nurse sharks - only a bruised foot to complain about!
And Dr David Gibson, the Managing Director of the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, explained about pregnant sharks and invited Neil to face his fears by getting up close and personal with sharks.
What an invitation - surely one we cannot refuse!

Neil & Tina spent an hour with the pupils and staff of Bodriggey Academy, where they told us all about everything they have been doing to make sure their school is a healthy and happy one.
Last year they were awarded the Healthy Schools, and Healthy Schools Plus Awards by Cornwall Healthy Schools. They have also employed their own chef to freshly prepare all the food each day.
Also, pupils have the choice of fresh fruit, and their very own salad bar each lunchtime too!
Bodriggy Academy took over the airwaves of Pirate FM for an entire hour, and you can listen back to the highlights here:

If Neil and Tina weren't radio presenters, they'd be ....
Tina thought she'd try her hand at Engineering and thanks to Cornwall College, visited Arcol, where apprentices Tristan and Rob showed her how to use a lathe for the resister components they make.
Neil, jokingly said he'd like to be a hairdresser, so we went to Inkfish in Truro where apprentices Kate, Jade and Michael took us through the science of hair colouring and Neil got his hands wet, learning how to shampoo!
