Thankyou for raising £50,000 so far !

Since Pirate FM became an official partner in the Precious Lives Appeal in June last year Pirate FM listeners have raised an incredible £50,000 through supporting our Cash Mountain Competition, running their own fundraisers and through donations. This has been a truly amazing result and doesn't include the money raised through your support of events we have promoted for the appeal, such as the Celebrity Football Match and the Moonlight Memory Walk.

There is still a long way to go, so please keep up this brilliant level of support and to find out more about the appeal or for information on how you could raise some cash CLICK HERE.

On Friday 26th Feb the Bright Young Stars Shine for Precious Lives Show took place at The Hall for Cornwall, compered by Bob McCreadie. Click here to see pictures from this incredible night.

Local artist donates prints of her picture Celebration to raise cash for Precious Lives

Nichola White from the Panache Gallery in Kingsand painted the picture to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Albert Bridge, the iconic Victorian railway bridge that links Devon and Cornwall across the Tamar. When she heard on Pirate FM that one of our Cash Mountaineer challengers was hanging pants across the road bridge to raise cash for the Precious Lives Appeal she decided to add the pants to the picture and then make a limited edition print to sell in aid of the charity.

You can buy one of the 500 limited edition prints unframed for £35.00  ( plus P & P)

So if you are looking for a unique gift, with a real local resonance, then order one today, and you will be helping Nichola in her bid to raise £10,000 for the appeal.

To place an order just call the Panache Gallery on 01752 823280 or call in to see them at

1 Fore Street Kingsand.

If you have a shop or gallery and would like to help sell the print, please e mail reception@piratefm.co.uk

Here is Nichola showing us the very first of the prints, which will be going to the Precious Lives Appeal to hang in the Porth Pea Hospice when it is completed.
