Name - Taz Martin. Dark brown brindle coloured (dark tiger stripes).
Very friendly but scarred of loud noises. Maybe hiding in someones back yard . Please can everyone look out.

Please could you mention our dog, Hobie. He went missing from Twelveheads, nr Truro at 2.30pm on Thursday 29th July. He is a six year old Labrador, light chestnut in colour. He has been neutered, and is identifiable by a 2-3cm healing wound on his right cheek. He is chipped, but unfortuanately had no collar on when he went missing.
He is a much loved pet, especially to our three year old daughter, who is devastated.

He is 2years old, short haired black male. He is very long and skinny, with a small white patch under his chin. When we last saw him he had a red collar on with a silver strip on it. The collar does have an address fob attached to it in a capsule but it has a preious temporary address in Mullion on it, not where we are staying now.
If anyone sees him, please gather him in and call us, and we will come immediately. There is a £100 reward for his safe return!!

He's very happy being left in the car and will go in a crate though still gets stressed, so we tend not to do this and take him out with us wherever we go. My name is Lynsey Pope and I am the head nurse at Companion Care Vets in Truro. We are receiving a high number of calls regarding small animals rabbits, guinea pigs etc that are suffering with heat exhaustion and dehyration during this hot spell.

Many people go off to work for the day and may not realise how hot their pets are getting in hutches and runs and we are keen to get the message out there.

There are many ways you can help keep the pets cool and in shade including cool packs and parasols etc. We would welcome any callers to our clinic for further info.

There is also something called fly strike which pet owners must be aware of as it is now peak season. Their pets must be checked twice daily particularly around the underside and rear as fies can lay their eggs here and then maggots hatch. You can understand this is very unpleasant and at worst life threatening.

Enable in Cornwall is a small charity that covers the whole of Cornwall. We try to support people with physical disabilities or sensory impairment in breaking down barriers that might prevent them from gaining education or work, either paid or voluntary.
One of the ways that we do this is through our computer lending scheme which offers computer access to those people unable to attend college or internet cafes. It also gives some people attending college a valuable piece of equipment so that they are able to complete course work in their own homes or supplement their learning whilst not at college.
All of our existing computers are now on loan but we still have several people who have been assessed as being able to benefit from this scheme.
If you have recently changed your computer and your old one is recyclable please do consider allowing us to have it for this valuable part of our work. If you are feeling very generous and wish to donate a small amount of money to us we will use it towards buying appropriate IT equipment and software so that our lending scheme continues to flourish.
