Pirate FM's presenters, as well as our lovely Love Crew are part of hundreds of events across Cornwall every single year.
Wednesday 23rd November - Truro City of Lights Parade
Kicking off Christmas in Cornwall is the dazzling Truro City of Lights Procession!
Local school children & community groups with their glowing lanterns will be accompanied by a feast of music and dance including samba, brass bands and pipes & drums.

Friday 25th November - Newquay Christmas Light Switch On
Once again the real reindeer will be on display at the Hotel Victoria between 3-6pm.
The Christmas Lantern Parade will begin at 6.30pm from Narrowcliff Car Park and head towards the bottom of Marcus Hill, where Pirate FM’s Dave Gould will be ready to warm up the crowds before the big switch on at 7pm!
The event concludes with an amazing Fireworks Display over Newquay Harbour at 8pm!
Friday 25th November - Bodmin Christmas Light Switch On
Bodmin Town Band will lead the lantern parade of local school children from the Library at 6:30pm, finishing at Mount Folly, where Pirate FM’s Neil Caddy will be for the countdown & Christmas carols at 7pm.
Saturday 26th November - Penzance Christmas Light Switch On
Join Pirate FM’s Holly Day on Market Jew Street for the big switch on at the Christmas Tree at 5pm.
Tuesday 29th November - St Austell Christmas Light Switch On
Events kick off just before 4pm in White River Place with stalls and street food, Strolling jazz band, & Scarlette Von B, building up to the switch on at 6pm with Santa, Jingle All the Way & Pirate FM’s Scott Temple!
Free parking when entering Priory & White River Place after 4 O'clock on late nights only.
Wednesday 30th November - Mallett's Real Reindeer Parade, Truro
Pirate FM will once again be in Victoria Square for the Mallets Home Hardware real reindeer parade, heralding the start of Christmas and late night shopping in Truro.
The reindeer start at 6.45pm from Victoria Square and travel via Little Castle Street, River Street, St Nicholas Street, King Street, Princes Street, Green Street, Lemon Quay and Lower Lemon Street and finally ending in Victoria Square.
Thursday 1st December - Falmouth Christmas Light Switch On
The children’s parade starts at Events Square and finishes on The Moor, where the schools perform Christmas songs and carols before the lights switch on with Pirate FM’s Scott Temple!
Come along for car stickers & goodies, great food, drink and plenty of festive fun!
Friday 2nd December - Leedstown Christmas Light Switch On
Join Holly Day at Leedstown Methodist Church from 6.45pm for singing with the School choir before the switch on at 7pm, after which Santa will be in his grotto from 7-8pm!
Saturday 3rd December - Tintagel Christmas Light
Once again Breakfast's Neil Caddy will be back to host the festivities in Tintagel with the big switch on at 7pm.
Friday 9th December - Wadebridge Christmas Weekend
Join Pirate FM at the bottom of Molesworth Street as we kick off Wadebridge Christmas Weekend with choirs, bands, musicians, rides and Santa arriving at his grotto in Polmorla Walk at 6pm on a steam engine!
Join us on the bridge for the big fireworks countdown at 8.15pm.
Thursday 15th December - Camborne Christmas Lantern Parade
Pirate FM will be in Commercial Square with festive tunes & goodies from 4.30pm as 9 local schools prepare to light up the streets with their lantern creations, arriving in the Square around 8.30pm
