Land's End Airport Runway Plans

Plans to cut the number of delays and cancelled flights at Land's End airport are revealed.
Bosses want to put in a hard runway.
It is after spending a million pounds upgrading the terminal.
Manager Chris Pearson said it was about increasing reliability: "It's the start of most people's holiday. We need to encourage people to come here and to come back regularly, to keep the tourist industry on the Isles of Scilly a strong one, and we are very keen to maintain that.
"We are here to dedicated and serve the people on the Isles of Scilly and that's what we do, both to the people that live there and the numerous tourists and business people that travel with Skybus through Land's End."
The airport has invited all nieghbours, local businesses and interested parties to view the plans and ask questions on Wednesday 19th June 2013 between 5 pm and 7.30 pm in the main terminal building.
