Homeless Pensioner's Charity Walk Ends
4:17pm 21st June 2013
A homeless Truro pensioner has completed his thousand mile walk to raise money for Children's Hospice Southwest.
Bryan Pesce used his bus pass to get to John O'Groats and slept out in a tent every night.
On Friday morning he arrived at Land's End after raising thousands of pounds.
Now he will go back to sleeping rough.
He tells Pirate FM it took his feet a while to get used to it: "They're fine now. They've given up complaining! First six weeks it took a bit of getting used to but, no, they're fine now. No problems footwise."
He tells Pirate FM he has been overwhelmed by support from the people he met: "I suppose they all think I'm a bit mad but I've had good reception from people along the way and everybody's been very supportive, giving me their good wishes."
