Salvage teams have successfully re-floated a trawler stranded on the Lizard.

The Scuderia, that leaked a third of her fuel into the sea, is being towed into Falmouth for repairs on Monday afternoon.

She was carrying 30 tonnes when she ran aground at Lankidden Cove between Coverack and Cadgwith on Wednesday 28th August.

Five crew were on board but no-one was hurt.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency had already stabilised the vessel using additional anchors and contained the pollution with a boom.
