As children in Cornwall go back to school - Pirate FM has learnt some still have not got a bus pass to get there.

The council is admitting there is a problem mailing them out.

All school bus drivers are being told not to leave any children behind - whether they have got a bus pass or not until it is sorted out.

The problem only came to light on Tuesday when worried parents began calling officials.

It is not clear what has gone wrong.

A spokesperson for County Hall said: "The Council has contacted all bus operators to instruct them to pick up all children waiting regardless of whether they have passes until the problem is resolved.

"Replacement passes are being sent out to all parents who have already contacted the authority and any parent whose child has not yet received their pass is asked to inform their school so that details can be passed to the Council who will arrange for a replacement pass to be sent to them."
