Paedophile Teacher From Cornwall Jailed

A teacher from Cornwall has been jailed for six months - after groping children.
Richard Oldham from North Tamerton also had hundreds of pictures of youngsters on his computer..
The thirty-two year old taught at primary schools in York - and the court heard he was a gifted teacher.
But he admitted groping children and filming them as they got changed for swimming lessons.
Detective Sergeant Adam Normanton helped lead the investigation.
He said: "Richard Oldham is a predatory paedophile.
"He pursued a career in teaching to enable himself a position where he could abuse children for his own sexual gratification
"His wickedness is such that he particularly abused the children who he thought would either not tell anyone or would not be believed.
"Oldham tried to portray himself as the model teacher. He was in fact every parent’s worst nightmare and prison is the right place for him."
Oldham was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for ten years and banned from working with children for life.
But Judge Rodney Jameson QC at Leeds Crown Court said: "It is a tragedy that somebody with your ability and the good in you wasn’t able to control successfully the instincts that led you to commit these offences.
“You have demons to wrestle with. I’m confident you’re man enough to do it.
“It’s a loss to the community. Good teachers are not a rare commodity but when they’re found they should be treasured.
“This is, in the classic sense of the word, a tragedy – that somebody with your ability, and the good in you, was not able to control successfully instincts that led you to commit these offences.
