Tributes To Cornish Schoolboy Found Dead
7:02am 19th September 2013
Friends of the Cornish schoolboy found dead say the "wrong things happen to the wrong people."
Police say the fifteen year old from Scorrier had been reported missing but there are no suspicious circumstances.
Online, his mates have paid tribute - with one saying "I miss you so much it's unreal. Gunna be a long time before we meet."
Steve Mulcahy, Headteacher of Richard Lander School, said “It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the death of a current student at Richard Lander School.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and our staff and student body at this most difficult time.”
Inspector Mark Richards told Pirate FM: "Awful, absolutely awful. We don't know the full ins and outs of it as yet, but it's obviously an absolutely tragic event.
"We have a couple of dedicated officers working with the family.
"We will investigate all the lines of inquiry that are available at the moment. We are treating it as a straightforward sudden death, if there is such a thing, and we will investigate accordingly."
Claude Knights from children's charity Kidscape said: "A death of this kind has fall out for friends of this young person. They will be suffering overwhelming feelings of shock, first of all, numbness, often confusion.
"It is very, very important for everyone who needs it to get support and a listening ear. Otherwise these things become internalised and are very, very difficult to deal with."
