Cornwall To Get Indian Summer?

(Updated 4:17pm 24th September 2013)
Cornwall could get another tourism boost from the weather.
After a bumper summer season forecasters reckon an Indian Summer could be on the way.
The rest of September is looking wet and windy, but long range predictions suggest October will be warm and sunny again.
Marco Petagna from the Met Office said: "In recent years we've seen the jet stream and rainfall right across the UK, whereas this year the jet stream and the areas of rain have tended to push a bit further towards the north, away from the UK and that's allowed plenty more in the way of warm settled weather.
"Often the fine weather is tied in with what we call the Azores High Pressure area to the south and south west of the UK. It builds up in the Azores and then into the UK to quieten things down. But the rain in the short term is certainly tied in with the jet stream coming back in from the north west."
