Schoolgirl Faints After Not Eating For Three Days

Pirate FM has learnt a Cornish schoolgirl has fainted in class - after not eating for three days.
Foodbanks say the situation is critical.
One in Camborne, Pool and Redruth has gone from handing out two thousand meals last October - to twelve and a half thousand this year.
Don Gardiner runs it. He said: "I've got dads coming in for food in tears because they are only eating every other day to feed their children.
"I had a mum whose partner left her - with ten pounds. It's absolutely frightening.
"People are already deciding whether to heat or eat. Trips off the tongue, but let's be honest about it - do you turn the fire on tonight or do you have supper?
"At this time of year everybody is struggling. We all have a budget and we blow the budget. These people who are really struggling blow their budget quite easily. They don't know how to live, let alone buy the niceties for Christmas."
Now they are preparing to cover families over the Christmas holidays when children who rely on school dinners to get at least one hot meal a day will no longer have access to them.
