A Perranwell woman is seriously hurt after being run over by her own people carrier.

It ran down the drive after she got out on Greenwith Lane yesterday morning.

The forty-one year old has been airlifted to Derriford with arm and internal injuries.

Police are trying to trace people who saw what happened at around 8.45am.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident, but the woman driver of the VW left the vehicle, and subsequently collided with it as it rolled down the driveway."

It ended up crashed into a gatepost.

Doctors say the woman is in a serious but stable condition.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact 101, quoting log 137 of 16/12/13.
