Girl Trapped in Quarry

A teenage girl has been airlifted to hospital after getting trapped in a Cornish quarry.
The fourteen year old slipped on rocks at Cheesewring near Liskeard on Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews from Liskeard, Callington and Bodmin and paramedics battled to free her from a boulder.
It took them around two hours to work her free.
She was taken by helicopter to Derriford for a check up but is not thought to be seriously hurt.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue service said: "An appliance from Liskeard,a 4 x 4 from Callington and the rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised to a call of a person who had slipped on rocks and whose leg had become wedged.
"Crews worked with police and ambulance to release the casualty from the rocks."
