Rugby: Cornish Pirates in B&I Cup Action
5:14pm 17th January 2014
The Cornish Pirates travel to Ulster in the British and Irish Cup - knowing a home tie in the quarter finals is at stake.
Our guys need a win to play at the Mennaye next round.
We're unbeaten in the competition so far.
Head coach Ian Davies told Pirate FM: "We're high in confidence. We're unbeaten in the cup; we're on a good run of wins at the moment. Performances haven't been brilliant but we've got a good run of wins, just a blip against Rotherham even though we played some good stuff and scored 30 points. Other than that, we're in a good place so we go there fully intending to win the game.
"Although they're out of the competition, they're unbeaten at home in the B&I Cup, they've lost their away games, their coach was smarting after last week's defeat saying that he was disappointed with the performance and he expects a response because they've got a point to prove against the Pirates. So it will be a battle.
