Weather Warning: Cornwall Braces for More Heavy Rain
8:02am 26th January 2014
Cornwall is back on storm watch.
A yellow weather warning for heavy rain and strong winds is in force for the whole of Sunday.
There are fears already waterlogged ground and high rivers could lead to flooding.
David Walker from RoSPA says conditions on the coast will not be great either: "Those areas are high-risk areas. If you get swept off you're going to be in the water, you're going to be in some very, very unfriendly conditions and also, if you get caught out there the rescue services such as the RNLI and the coastguard have to go out.
"Our rescue services have been really stretched over the last month so heed the local advice, take the conditions and if somebody says don't go down there because it's unsafe then please really do heed that advice because you aren't just putting your own life at risk, you're putting that rescuer's life at risk as well."
