Rapist Jailed for Violent Attack
7:01am 28th January 2014
A violent rapist who targeted a woman in Penzance is starting nine and a half years in jail.
At Truro Crown Court on Monday, Lee Hosking admitted the attack, which dates back to 2008.
The 28 year old was originally from the Cornish town and previously lived in Hastings.
Detective Inspector Stuart Ellis said: “Lee Hosking has pleaded guilty to an exceptionally violent rape.
“Every case of rape is treated with the utmost seriousness. Unsolved cases are regularly reviewed by detectives to ensure that, where possible, any offenders are identified and arrested.
“Since 2008, the victim of this terrible offence has had to live with its devastating effects and will inevitably have to continue to do so. Every aspect of her life, her relationships, her career and her health have been irrevocably damaged since she was attacked.
“I hope that it will be at least some small comfort to her that Lee Hosking has finally been brought to justice.”
