Rugby: Newlyn's Jack Knowell Capped Again
5:06pm 20th February 2014
Cornwall has all eyes on the Six Nations again as local lad Jack Nowell gets another cap.
The Newlyn teenager and former Pirates player has been picked for England's clash with Ireland.
It is after impressing in the first match against France.
Former Bude schoolboy, Redruth and England player Phil Vickery says he is a great local role model: "He's got something really special Jack. I've been really impressed with him and I'm really looking forward to seeing how he develops in this England team because if he keeps going and builds his confidence he's just going to get better and better and better.
"The people are with you, the sense of pride and passion which everyone has at home in Cornwall is truly amazing and that's why it's such a great place to have grown up and to have lived. "Go hard or go home" - that's what my brother always told me and it certainly kept me in good stead."
