Cornish Tourism Campaign
7:02am 15th March 2014
Heathrow tells the world - Cornwall is 'Open for Business.'
The message will appear on digital screens across the airport which welcomes around thirteen million passengers a year.
It is part of a four million pound campaign to promote UK tourism.
Malcolm Bell from Visit Cornwall said it is much needed after the storms sparked a drop in visitor numbers: "People were very nervous when the storms were on. They then got optimistic when the storms stopped. but people are now getting more nervous because bookings are not restoring back to where they should be and that's what's really starting to worry people.
"When the storms were on it was understandable that bookings were down. But forward booking being down when we've had a couple of good weekends is a very worrying trend."
