A suspicious device has been found on a beach in Newquay.

Tolcarne was closed off on Monday afternoon after the object was found by a walker.

It was checked out by bomb disposal experts who identified it as a World War I airdropped bomb.

Teams made it safe and removed it before re-opening the beach
