(Updated 7:05am 27th May 2014)
We are being urged not to leave cooking oils outside after the death of a barn owl in Cornwall.
A wildlife expert at Feadon Farm battled to save the bird that was discovered at Portreath, after it tried to take a bath in the fat.
The creature could not hunt or keep warm because its feathers were clogged up.
Ranger Gary Zammit has released this video to warn people about the dangers of leaving uncovered oil outside.
Some viewers may find this upsetting.
