Cornish couples struggling to have children could get more help.

Officials are reviewing rules that mean they only get one round of IVF.

The official rules say they should have three.

Each one costs more than three and a half thousand pounds.

Kate Brian is from Infertility Network UK, she said: "The NICE guideline says people should have access who qualified for treatment for three full cycles of fertility treatment, so people in Cornwall are clearly not getting the treatment that they ought to.

"Why is it happening? I don't know. I think it's partly to do with our attitude to infertility here in general, I don't think we're always very supportive of it, a recent study has shown GPs are not always very good at helping or informing patients, more than half of them didn't feel their GP was helpful enough or knew enough."
