A Liskeard pub gets a pink prank.

Four customers painted the Albion a vibrant shade in secret on Saturday night.

Staff left the pub at around 2.30am and the building was still white, and then arrived for work at 9am to find it pink.

It is to celebrate the landlord Alex McKay's 50th birthday, as a present while he is away on holiday in America.

Now locals are hoping he will want to keep it that way and that the council will let him.

Becky works on the bar, she tells Pirate FM it's good for business, she said: "It was shocking, it was very bright and very shocking, I think it's great, it's been a great talking point in Liskeard at the moment and everyone seems to like it.

"We have actually got a page on our Albion website on Facebook to like if you want it to stay and we've got 600 likes at the moment, we have had lots of passers-by, we actually had customers come in last night who have never been here before who wanted to see the pink pub."
