Punched and kicked in the face: four women after an assault in Torpoint.
One suffered a 20 minute fit after she fell to the floor and hit her head outside a takeaway on Fore Street.
Three men have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault after it happened two Mondays ago.
Devon and Cornwall Police have released the following information:
Police are appealing for witnesses after four women were assaulted in Torpoint.
The group of local women were verbally assaulted by three men outside the Vino fast food take away on Fore Street at around 1am on Monday 30 June 2014.
Two of the women were punched in the face resulting in one woman, aged 21, suffering a nose bleed.
The other woman, aged 20, fell to the floor and hit her head on the road. She then suffered a 20 minute fit.
Whilst on the ground she has also punched and kicked which resulted in three or four broken ribs, as well as a sore neck and face.
The other two women in the group were struck to the head. An 18-year-old woman suffered whiplash, a stiff neck and a bump to the rear of her head, whilst the 19-year-old woman did not suffer any injuries.
Three men from Torpoint, aged 23, 26 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until 30 July.
Detective Constable Barry Ruskin, based in Liskeard, said: "Enquiries are continuing into this serious assault and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the attack."
