There is a warning to drivers as a deer is found dead near a busy Cornish roundabout.
A local made the grim discovery at Hayle.
Experts say more and more of the creatures are being spotted alive in the Duchy.
Nigel Miles from the Cornwall Deer Research Programme is trying to raise awareness: "In other parts of the country they do get killed. People tend to be, not blasé about them, but because we don't see them very often around here if see it and if you go up to one and it's two thirds your size it's a little bit shocking to see that.
"They stay in certain territories so they very rarely move unless the numbers become so large that the males tend to dissipate. So what we're trying to do is to find out where they are so if necessary we can contact the local council and councillors and say 'look this is an environmental management situation'".
