Days of Coastal Flood Alert Predicted
6:02am 11th August 2014
Cornwall is warned we could be in for days of blustery winds and flood alerts.
The Environment Agency has still got one out for the entire coast of Cornwall.
It says there could be more issued for Tuesday and Wednesday.
A spokesperson said: "The weather system lying over us has generated a surge based on the combination of low pressure, wave action and strong winds.
"We are also in a period of rising spring tides. This means that flooding of exposed seafronts may occur during high tide on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates as the weather system develops.
"Further Flood Alerts are likely on Tuesday and Wednesday."
The Met Office has lifted its yellow weather warning for Cornwall.
A forecaster added: "There will be a mixture of sunny spells and scattered, blustery showers, which are likely to be heavy and thundery at times.
"It will feel cool in places exposed to the brisk westerly wind."6:02am 11th August 2014
