Fighting for his life in hospital: a biker after a crash in Blackwater.
The 52 year old man was airlifted to Derriford after a collision with a van.
Police want to hear from anyone who might have seen something on North Hill on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision in Cornwall.
"The road traffic collision involving a white Ford Transit van and a black Harley Davison Motor Cycle, occurred around 2.00pm on Thursday 11th September in North Hill, Blackwater, near Truro.
"As a result of the collision the motorcycle rider, a 52 yr old local man was conveyed to Treliske Hospital with serious injuries.
"He was later transferred by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where his condition is described at this time as serious, possibly life-threatening.
"The road was closed for seven and a half hours whilst Serious Collision Investigators attended and examined the scene.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident are asked to contact police on 101 quoting police reference 0358 110914."
