Happy Days star Henry Winkler has got a proper taste of Cornwall.

The Fonz actor has tried a pasty for the first time or, more accurately, tried two.

He is visiting schools in the Duchy, talking about his own experiences of dyslexia.

He has already met children in Saltash, Liskeard and Truro amongst other places. On Wednesday he is visiting assemblies in Redruth and Penzance.

But he has also found time to try Cornwall's national dish - although it may not all have gone smoothly.

He told Pirate FM: "Well, I had two pasties. I had half a cheese and half a meat and let me just say, they are now waging a war right inside my body.

"But they were delicious going down, they really were.

"I am a fan of the pasty."

It is unclear whether he has tried a cream tea.
