Autistic Teenager's Family: 'Josh Will Be Home Within Months'
7:03am 4th October 2014
The family of a severely autistic teenager are told he can come home to Cornwall.
13 year old Josh Wills has been at a specialist centre in Birmingham for two years.
This is after bosses said he could not get the right care in the Duchy.
Now, after a massive online campaign, health bosses have drawn up a plan to bring him home within five months.
Dad Phil is elated: "We as a family, we had to shout, we had to go public to get Josh's story known. We didn't expect it to go as wide as it has done and we would like to use that knowledge to help other families in the same situation.
"Questions we didn't know to ask when Josh was first sent away. I want to make sure that other families who are in that position know what to ask and make sure that they are listened to and make sure that they are heard."
