(Updated 6:24pm 25th October 2014)
Police who launched a murder investigation in Saltash now admit the death of a woman is not suspicious.
Officers were called to a property in Alamein Court just before 10pm on Thursday, following a report of concern for a resident.
They discovered the body of a fifty year old woman.
A thirty-nine year old was arrested - and police told the media it was on suspicion of murder.
But in a three line statement on Saturday afternoon Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed: "Following post mortem results the death is not being treated as suspicious.
"The 39 year old arrested in connection with the death has been released with no further action.
"Enquiries will continue on behalf of the Coroner."
The force has not released any further information surrounding the circumstances of the death or why the man was arrested.6:24pm 25th October 2014
