Man Charged With Murder

A 28 year old has been charged with murder, after a man is believed to have been hit by a crossbow bolt near Helston.

Police were called to a house outside St Keverne just after 9am on Saturday morning by paramedics.

Fifty year old Roy Hanson died at the scene.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Daniel Richard Schofield, age 28, from St Keverne has been charged with the murder of Roy Hanson, age 50, from the Helston area.

"Mr Hanson is thought to have been struck with a bolt from a crossbow.
 
"Schofield is due to appear at Truro Magistrates Court on Monday 27th October 2014."
