Argyle Lose League Cup Quarter-Final
7:09am 13th November 2014
Coventry have crushed Plymouth Argyle's hopes of going to Wembley.
The Pilgrims lost 2 - 0 in their League Cup quarter-final on Wednesday night.
Both the goals came in the second half.
Boss John Sheridan is disappointed and thinks his side deserved more from the game: "A lot of good things out of players. Their effort and their desire to try and get something out of the game was very good I thought. I think we could have affected the game a little bit more if we'd picked the right decisions but I thought we had a real go; it was a good performance but a shame we didn't get anything.
"I've just said to the players, their performance I thought was good so we've got to take that into our league programme; if we do that we've got a good chance of winning games. Our league programme's our main priority and hopefully we can get back to winning ways in that."
