Could Status Quo be the next big band coming to Cornwall?
A Crowfunder campaign has been launched to bring the veteran rockers to Penzance.
It is trying to raise £95,000 for them to headline a festival next summer.
The event, scheduled for next July, will also include local bands and entertainment at Trereife House.
The Quo last played Cornwall in 2006 at Pendennis Castle.
Matt Dutton is the man behind the campaign. He said: "The idea is to try and put Penzance on the map, by showcasing local musical talent, both well established bands and more importantly the next generation.
"We want to have a headline act that everyone will know, whether you are 10 or 110. I remembered being taken to a Status Quo gig as a child, and it still remains as one of my favourite memories today.
"Hopefully people will get behind the project and support our vision as our goal is to put Penzance on the map with our ten hour music festival jampacked with Cornish talent and produce.
"We made contact with Status Quo's team to see what available dates remained - and there seemed to be a lot of excitement about them returning to Cornwall."
Now he is offering people the opportunity to buy things like advance tickets in exchance for raising the money to bring the group to the Duchy.
It is the same model used by another group trying to attract Foo Fighters to the area. That hit its target within weeks.
