Marazion B&B Owners Appeal
11:06am 8th November 2011
The Court of Appeal is deciding whether the owners of a Marazion hotel were allowed to deny a gay couple a double room.
Hazelmary and Peter Bull are trying to overturn a ruling they acted unlawfully at the Chymorvah.
It started when Martyn Hall and civil partner Steven Preddy tried to check in to a double room at the B and B near Penzance.
They were told they could not have one.
The owners say they are Christians and do not let any couple have a double unless they are married, but they define that as being between one man and one woman.
Earlier this year they were ordered to pay compensation to the two men.
