Devonwall Consultation Ends
3:24pm 5th December 2011
It is our last chance to have a say over plans for Cornwall and Devon to share an MP.
The Devonwall consultation ends today.
It would mean places like Bude, Tintagel and Camelford being part of a constituency that spans the Tamar.
Adam Killeya runs the Keep Cornwall Whole campaign:
"Cornwall is so different from any other area historically, culturally, politically, economically. It's got a whole different history, a whole different set of issues and clearly it should be represented as Cornwall. I think it's just so important that everybody puts their view in"
" The Boundary Commission has to follow the laws that the government has been put in and the law says that there has to be a cross border constituency. But what the boundary commission could do, and what we're asking them to do, is make clear that that's the only reason they're doing it and that they agree it's ridiculous as well and that could put pressure on the government to change the rules"
