Armed Robbery in Looe Shop

There has been an armed robbery at a shop in East Looe.

A man threatened staff at Spar with a twelve inch knife at around nine o'clock yesterday evening before demanding cash from the till.

He made off with eight hundred and twenty pounds in a bag.

No one was hurt but officers say staff were left shocked.

The suspect is described as being, a white man approximately 5 foot 10 inches to 6 foot in height, wide stocky build and wearing an olive green hooded top with some kind of motif on the front, a dark coloured balaclava, dark tracksuit bottoms which had white stripes down the side, and white trainers.

Police have released CCTV pictures of the suspect. You can see them below.
