Donations for Redruth Rugby Club Fall
7:01am 24th December 2011
Redruth rugby club digs deep to make it through Christmas.
Donations to the players' fund have dropped off.
It was set up so the club could concentrate on clearing bills and get back on a financial footing.
Boss Dave Penberthy is still positive
“ It’s a big hole that we’re climbing out of, it’s a big challenge. There are people out there that need to be paid and our players are one of that group. We’re prioritising the off-field payments and if we can get through the next couple of months with our heads above water then things are looking pretty good from there on in”
“The players’ fund gathered a lot of momentum in the early days, but we’re looking to maintain some momentum there. We’ve got some functions coming up at the club over Christmas. Generally the club’s keeping its head above water and moving forward positively”7:01am 24th December 2011
