St Austell City Bid 'Lacks Support'

St Austell's city bid does not appear to be scoring points with the public.
26 towns across Britain are applying for the status to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
But a YouGov poll shows the Duchy is halfway down the list of places people think deserve it.

Jill Trewhella launched the campaign. She said: "It's a win/win all round. There's nothing to lose from it at all. You can win from promoting it from the time we put the bid in in May right up to the point at which they announce the results. And if we do win that's the cherry on the cake"9:26am 9th February 2012
