Naked Truth At Newquay Aquarium
3:23pm 12th June 2012
Nothing but the naked truth at the Blue Reef.
Newquay's Aquarium is playing host to nearly a hundred naturists later.
It is though the special tour, organised as part of Nudefest 2012, is one of the largest ever nude group visits to a UK aquarium.
Supervisor Paul Strachan said it is all happening after they close doors to the public: "A little bit of apprehension to begin with, but it's going to be different, I'll admit that. It's going to be interesting. It's the second time this has happened here, so it's something that we're kind of accustomed with.
Paul tells Pirate FM how he is planning to cope with any nerves: "Maybe, we'll have to imagine them clothed for a change, but it's something that we're all used to. We're all used to giving public talks here. It's going to be more of a challenge to keep a straight face, I think, for a couple of members of staff, but I think it's going to be a very good evening."
British Naturism's Commercial Manager, Andrew Welch said: "Nudefest is a well-established and hugely popular event in the naturist calendar and we are delighted to be returning to Cornwall this year.
"Guests are already very excited by the prospect of nude trips to some of Cornwall's best known tourist spots."
They will also visit the Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Adrenalin Quarry and Skinners Brewery.
