Pirate FM has learnt Love Actually director Richard Curtis will shoot a new movie in St Austell
Time-travel tale About Time will star Bill Nighy and Sherlock Holmes actress Rachel McAdams.
It is understood the rugby club will be a production base and rumour has it Porthpean House will feature too.
Malcolm Bell from Visit Cornwall reckons a feel-good film like this could pump millions into the Duchy, "To have that feel-good factor associated with Cornwall means that not only when people come out and see the film they feel good about the film, it makes them think about Cornwall. So in terms of buying that coverage, you are talking about hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of pounds' worth of advertising.
"Ten second adverts cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to get those sort of adverts on the TV and this is actually all free publicity. You get the economic benefit from the filming, you get the PR benefit immediately and of course when it comes to release, you know, maybe we should push for a premiere in Cornwall".
