Plan to Slash Cornish Water Bills

Pirate FM has learnt Cornwall's water bills could plummet.
A powerful group of MPs says we should be able to switch suppliers to get a better deal, just like we can with gas and electricity.
North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson helped write the report, which also warns we could be facing severe droughts in the next ten years.
He said, "The committee has urged ministers to get on with reforming the water industry to increase competition. The Government need to make sure that they get this right, so that we end up with a well-functioning and genuine market for water.
"This has already been introduced in Scotland, and if this was extended across the rest of Great Britain then customers would have a choice of water supplier, and could shop around for the best deal on water bills. This could help to bring prices down for hard-pressed bill payers in our area who pay the highest prices in the country for their water."11:52am 6th July 2012
