Pounding the pavements at the Royal Cornwall Showground.

It is the Wadebridge Race for Life later.

Hundreds of women will run, jog or walk the 5K course to raise cash for Cancer Research UK, including Carol May: "I'm running the Race for Life in memory of mum and my two brothers. I think we've all been touched by cancer one way or another. We all know of somebody or have had somebody close that's died so yeah, it's a great cause.

She says the atmosphere on the day is amazing and people's messages are inspirational and emotional: "You can't help but read everything they've got written on their backs. Son or daughter, that's probably got to be the worst. You sort of expect to hear mums, dads, grandads etc, but when you read about children who've died of cancer, I think that's really sad".
