Missing Yachtsman Sparks Huge Search

Coastguard say hoped of finding a missing Cornish yachtsman are fading.
They have called off the search for Christian Selman.
The 36 year old who was living on the boat New Moon disappeared near Glebe Beach on Wednesday night.
There are reports he was seen crying for help trying to swim to a dinghy.
That was later discovered near the mouth of the river.
Coastguard rescue teams, the Falmouth Lifeboat and a chopper from Culdrose were scrambled on Wednesday night and again on Thursday morning but found nothing and fresh searches at last night's high tide also drew a blank
Now RNLI teams are scouring the water and police are combing the surrounding area again.
James Instance from Falmouth Coastguard says they have handed it over to the police: "What you're trying to do is to piece together the various bits of information that you have and what we have is a yacht, the dinghy that they use has been found adrift and other people that know him have not been able to make contact. So, it is very worrying from our perspective"
Inspector Mark Richards from Falmouth police says, "We can't be 100% certain at the moment that he went into the water or that he is still in the water. He could equally be onshore somewhere or with friends not knowing that we're looking for him, he could be anywhere. We hope that he's not in the water but we can't be 100% certain one way or the other which is why this search will continue until we find him".
Local cafe owner Lorna Lawrence says, "All the locals are very concerned about it. We all think if we jump in the water we'll be fine. You think that you're invincible and you'll be fine and you're a good swimmer but it could be cold or the current could be bad. It's just made me think twice.
"I've been in the situation myself when I've been on the fishing boat moored up and engines off and the tender boat has drifted off. I jumped in to go and get it and I was been fine but it's made me think twice about doing it".
Anyone with information is being asked to call police.
