70 New Jobs at 99p Stores
7:01am 24th July 2012
A high-street chain is bringing seventy new jobs to Cornwall.
99p Stores is opening in Launceston on Wednesday. There will be a branch in St Austell later this summer too.
Boss of the chain Hussein Lalani said that the public's appetite for "value" has now become "insatiable."
"The boast used to be how much you paid. Now it's how little."
The nearest 99p Stores to Cornwall used to be in Plymstock and Paignton. "We are delighted to be expanding into Cornwall," said Mr Lalani. "The new Launceston branch will be one of many in the county."
There will be around 35 new jobs at each of the two new stores. Bosses say they are working closely with Jobcentre Plus to fill the vacancies.7:01am 24th July 2012
