A Cornish schoolboy turned entrepreneur has set up his own 'Hamster Hotel'.

Ten year old Alex Dellamuro from Lelant decided to offer the service as a way of making some extra pocket money. hamster

He will look after the creatures for a charge of £1 per night, and said he already had his first booking, for four guinea pigs.

Alex explained how he came up with the idea: "I like making houses for my hamster, because I get loads of cages and expand them, like upgrade, and then I thought it looked like a hotel, and then I kind of thought of a hamster hotel, and then I got on the computer and made a little poster.

"We can't supply our own hamster cages, so obviously you have to bring your own. We supply bedding and food, andwater and cleaning, and look after and play with it, really."
