The number of people being evicted in Cornwall rockets.

430 possession orders were dished out in 2011.

Truro saw the biggest jump in the UK, from 95 to 250 in a year.

City landlord Rob thinks it is partly because housing benefit now gets paid directly to tenants: "The money that they're getting for the housing is not being turned over to the landlord. It's wrong, it's immoral, it's not right. You can imagine how many millions of pounds are outstanding to landlords.

"There are lots and lots of good tenants out there. But let's say a percentage of five percent do not pay, turn that money over to the landlord. It's your money, it's my money, it's taxpayers' money, but unfortunately it's going somewhere else."
