Audit Calls for Cornwall's Out of Hours Doctors Service
7:07am 24th September 2012
The MP in charge of public accounts calls for Cornwall's out-of-hours doctors' service to face an audit.
It comes after Serco staff changed data on patient response times more than 250 times in six months.
Now Margaret Hodge wants answers.
Paul Forden is in charge of clinical services and said: "One time we know that there was a recording where we had to respond to call within two hours and it was two hours and fifty-two seconds. They rounded it down to two hours and it should've been two hours and one, it should've been a failure.
"They have uncovered that actually some staff were recording inconsistently and some had actually changed some times. Now there's no financial gain to the individual and no financial gain to Serco so I'm still unclear what their motives were."7:07am 24th September 2012
