Talks To Rescurrect Scilly Helicopters
12:18pm 29th November 2012
Pirate FM has learnt talks are taking place in a bid to resurrect Cornwall's helicopter link to the Isles of Scilly.
St Ives MP Andrew George has been meeting ministers and other companies to talk about support for the scheme.
He said it is something he is dedicating a great deal of time to: "It's admittedly a long shot and I don't want people to raise their expectations in a way which would be cruel or inappropriate but it is important that we leave no stone unturned.
"Really exploring the opportunity of whether we can resurrect a helicopter link from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly. There's not alot I can say about that because of the commercial sensitivity of it all, but I can tell you it's taking up a tremendous number of hours at the moment."
