Pirate FM has learnt a gyneacology consultant at Treliske has had his practice restricted.

Bosses say it is after a serious incident and concerns raised by staff.

Services are already under review amid an investigation into former consultant Rob Jones. 200 women have called a helpline, and 42 have been back for checks.

Dr Jones helped deliver the Prime Minister's youngest baby last year.

Paul Upton, Medical Director at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, said: "Patient safety is our top priority and we will not compromise on the quality of care we provide.

"We will make no further comment on this individual Consultant and at this time he remains an employee of RCHT."
